LUCY'S (BROWNIE) WORLD

I am now a full time, passionate & experienced baker after leaving my job in 2019, as a part time math's teacher, to follow my dream, I never thought I would have my own online Sheffield brownies shop, surrounded by a great team of colleagues, and oh yes, I'm also a full time mum.

My grandmother taught me how to bake & some of my fondest memories are the hours we would spend in the kitchen, pouring our hearts into our baking, especially delicious chocolate brownies, I still do heart-pouring now.

​

When baking, my grandmother taught me that compromise is not an option & to always use high quality ingredients. She is certainly right... You really can tell the difference. So, you have her to thank for the free range eggs, delicious Belgian chocolate, & high quality, locally sourced ingredients (& my baking skills).

I was overjoyed to have set up 'Scrumptious by Lucy' in 2017, after years & years of persuasion from my loving friends & family. My two boys are especially happy that I decided to launch my little business as a Sheffield brownie baker, as it means that the house permanently smells of warm, gooey brownies & their snack time is particularly delicious.

 

My little business began on a small market stall in my home town of Sheffield. I then branched out to surrounding areas in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. And thanks to the incredible feedback, encouragement & customers, you can now order brownies online, so rather than buying your brownies at markets and food festivals, I am now delivering brownies to your door all across the UK. I had made some beautiful letterbox brownies gift boxes, so your friends and loved ones don't even need to be in to receive the brownies. We then branched out into the Corporate world and receive regular orders for Corporate brownie gifts, after all, who doesn't love brownies! We provide a full UK brownies delivery, from London to Scotland. Not only have I had so many orders and support from the UK, We also have regular orders from relatives living abroad who want to send brownies to their loved ones in the UK

Looking back to 2019 when I finally took the plunge and left my role as a part time math's teacher' and go full time, and focus solely on my one true love... Brownies. (Just kidding children)​​​ I cannot believe how successful a business we have become, having recently built a purpose made commercial brownies kitchen, a permanent stand at Sheffield train station, which is so incredibly busy, with around 10 million passengers per year, as well as receiving so much support from the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Corporate sector who enjoy our brownies and cookies and realise they make great corporate gifts. Despite all this, you will see one of my stands at the local food festivals in the region where it all began, and we now employ  a great team of local people who have a passion for baking and brownies, as well as a Marketing and E-Commerce side helping grow the business, I am so excited about the future.
