I'm going to say it and say it proud, its Christmaaaas time.
I cannot wait for Christmas this year, I think I’m more excited than my children, with all the limitations and lockdown of last year, it’s got me a little too excited this year.
With the night’s drawing in, the first frost last night, and the supermarket shelves piling up with all the crimbo decorations, there can’t be a better time to introduce the Festive box.
Last year I introduced a stand-alone festive flavour which was the Toblerone brownie, however, I got so many requests for a Festive box, I just had to do one this year, and that got me thinking, what does Christmas taste like, what are the true flavours of Christmas, and which of my brownies are truly meant for Christmas? so I went back to the kitchen recipes I my grandmother, my mum, and I had made over the years for the family, and it then seemed so simple, so I started baking the different recipes until I knew I had finally perfected them into 4 mouth-watering brownies for you to indulge over the festive period.
Don’t forget to share them with Santa! They will get you on the nice list, I’m sure!!
So what’s in the Festive box.
All four flavours included in my Festive flavours box have stood the test of time and when thoughts turn to Christmas teats, these surely stand out along with mince pies and Christmas cake, They look so delicious in their brownies gift box and when the brownies are placed in their letterbox gift box ready for posting, before a final touch of a adding a Christmas festive gift wrap of a beautifully shiny blue and gold, along with a hand written personalised message to a friend, family and loved one, this really does make the elegant Christmas brownies gift to please everyone
Who doesn’t love gingerbread??
The aroma’s that fill my kitchen when baking this blondie makes my heart warm and take me back to my childhood baking with Nan Freda. For Bonfire night we always baked gingerbread parkin and then in preparation for Christmas the gingerbread men cutters came out to play!
The taste of the gingerbread blondie is so comforting, a true winter warmer. deliciously moreish gingerbread is sure to be a hit! A gingery blondie base sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and topped with a gingerbread man for that extra festive touch.A Festive blondie special to compliment the delicious brownies in the Festive Christmas box.
Ginger bread was one of the original cakes which everyone made at home from their own special recipes, and remained one of the most popular flavours until chocolate became cheaper and more affordable and ginger bread was left a little behind, however, the super moist, delicately spiced ingredients rich with butterscotch and caramel flavours are really a festive classic which simply cannot be ignored.
This rich chocolate brownie is amplified with chunks of Toblerone and flaked almonds baked into the mixture to give the classic Toblerone chew, set against the chocolate crunch. The subtle almond flavour against the chocolate is simply perfect! I then add more Toblerone after baking, because it is Christmas after all, and I promise you every extra calorie is worth it!
This iconic Swiss chocolate bar is famous for its triangular shape. Did you know the chocolate bar is over 100 years old? A classic which has always been a favourite of mine, and It has been said, Santa prefers a Toblerone Brownie over a mince pie!!! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love a mince pie, I was eating them in October but this rich, gooey Belgium chocolate brownie packed full of festive toasted almonds and chunky Toblerone pieces is second to none. Dense and moreish this new addition is simply irresistible! One is not enough, trust me, I talk from experience. Just don’t leave these out on the 24th December or Santa will have them all!
Everyone has heard of Terry’s chocolate orange; they have been around since 1932! So, how can you improve an icon, something which has lasted the test of time for so long?
Simple, start with baking the most mouth wateringly tasty chocolate brownie, which has been loaded with the freshest orange flavours, with added fresh orange zest, and a luxurious orange oil blended within the chocolate brownie mixture before baking and then pop a Terry’s chocolate segment on top.
The combination of chocolate and orange really are a classic and make this one of the most popular chocolate brownies I sell from my Sheffield brownies bakery
Once the brownies come out of the oven and are cooled, I vacuum seal the individual brownies to retain that lovely orange aroma, I then pack them into the brownie letterbox gift box and send the brownies by post, so that they arrive perfectly fresh.
These truly are a festive favourite. Each Ferrero Rocher is created with passion and commitment. Ferrero take a whole hazelnut, dip it in a smooth and velvety filling, then coat it in milk chocolate and cover it in hazelnut pieces, to give you an irresistible taste experience. Ferrero Rocher is the ultimate in decadently rich chocolate with a unique hazelnut topping, how can you add to perfection? simply combine this with the ingredients of a scrumptiously rich dark Nutella and chocolate brownies base, topped with chopped hazelnuts and Ferrero Rocher, this must be the ultimate decadent festive brownie treat, whether you share or relaxing with a cup of coffee.
The Festive brownie box will be around until just after Christmas, remember you can make that special brownies gift look even more special by adding a festive wrap to your letterbox brownies gift box, as well as including a personalised hand written message, which I will place inside your brownie gift box.
Don’t forget to share them with Santa! They will get you on the nice list, I’m sure!!
