Vegan Chocolate Orange Brownie 

 

I spent a lot of time researching ingredients for Vegan brownies before I began trialing recipes. It was important for me to create a vegan brownie that I enjoyed. This was the bar I set myself!

 

The brownies also had to be rich and fudgy just like my regular brownie range.  One flavour I knew I would have to develop, is the classic chocolate orange. In my regular brownie ingredients, I use a Terry's chocolate orange segment, but when I looked into the ingredients, unfortunately the classic Terry's orange is not Vegan, but not to be put off, I went back to the drawing board, I still wanted that refreshing orange flavour to be combined with my classic dark, rich Signature chocolate brownie taste.  

 

The vegan chocolate orange brownie recipe I finally settled on as it met my high standards, has a chocolate brownie base filled with fresh orange zest for that zingy orange flavour. The rich chocolate pairs beautifully with the orange which gives a sweetness to the dark chocolate. I top the brownie with a drizzle of dark chocolate and more orange zest. I pack the orange brownie separately to keep the flavour fresh, so that when you open the brownie, the orange aroma hits you and then you get the chocolate taste combined with the orange for a chocolate orange lovers dream.
